The 34 runs at Erciyes divide into three main sectors. The wide, sunny slopes above Hisarcık are ideal for beginners; the Tekir sector is the classic intermediate playground where most skiers spend the day; and the high pistes on the Develi side hold the longest and steepest descents of the season.
Riding the gondola to 3,400 m opens up roughly 1,200 m of uninterrupted vertical. Very few resorts in Turkey offer that, and it is the main reason advanced skiers choose Erciyes.

Flying is the easiest option. Kayseri Erkilet Airport is served by frequent daily flights from Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, and the transfer to the slopes takes about 45 minutes. In season, regular shuttles run from both the airport and the city centre.
If you drive, the 25 km road from Kayseri city centre via Hisarcık takes roughly half an hour. It is kept open all winter, but chains can be required during heavy snowfall — never set off without proper winter tyres.
Accommodation at Erciyes splits into two options: hotels at the lift base and hotels in Kayseri city centre. Staying on the mountain makes it easy to catch the first lift; staying in town is cheaper, offers far more places to eat and gives you a city in the evening.
Over New Year and the Turkish mid-term school holiday, the on-mountain hotels run close to full. Book at least two months ahead for those weeks.
The season at Erciyes normally opens in the first half of December and runs to the end of April. The most reliable snow is in January and February, while March — sunny days with the base still intact — is many skiers' favourite window.
Thanks to the dry Central Anatolian climate, the snow at Erciyes is light and powdery. Snowmaking covers all the main pistes, so the resort stays open even in seasons when natural snowfall is late.
A ski set (skis, bindings and boots) starts at 750 TL per day; a snowboard set is 800 TL, a helmet 150 TL and outerwear 400 TL. The daily rate drops noticeably from three days, and weekly packages save up to 35%.

The season usually opens in the first two weeks of December and continues to the end of April. Because of the snowmaking system, the opening date depends very little on natural snowfall.
