A helmet is the one item on the list that should never be negotiated. Most serious head injuries on the slopes happen at speeds that look harmless — around 20 km/h — and a helmet is highly effective at exactly those speeds.
All our rental helmets are certified to CE EN 1077, and no helmet that has taken an impact stays in the inventory: a helmet loses its protection after a single serious hit. The inner pads are disinfected after every rental.
How to measure for a helmet
Run a tape measure around the widest part of your head, about two fingers above your eyebrows. The number in centimetres is your helmet size.
A correctly fitted helmet stays put when you tip your head forward with the chin strap undone. Too loose and it shifts on impact, protecting nothing; too tight and it gives you a headache within a couple of hours.

Frequently asked questions
Is renting a helmet compulsory?
It is not a legal requirement in Turkey, but we do not hand over equipment to under-18s without one — and we strongly recommend it for adults too.
