Boots are the piece of kit that determines your comfort more than any other. Get the skis wrong and turning is harder; get the boots wrong and the day is over. A boot that pinches, or one your foot slides around in, makes skiing unbearable within a few hours.
Our boots are sized in Mondopoint — the length of your foot in centimetres, which is far more reliable than a shoe size. Just give us your usual shoe size on the request form and we will convert it.
Every boot is disinfected in an ozone cabinet after each rental and the liner is dried right through. That answers the most common worry people have about rented gear.
How ski boot sizing works
Ski boots use Mondopoint: a 26.5 boot fits a 26.5 cm foot. Measuring your foot against a wall from heel to longest toe gives a more accurate answer than your shoe size.
A ski boot should fit more snugly than a street shoe. In the right size your toes just brush the front when you stand upright and pull back when you flex your knees. If they never touch at all, the boot is too big and your foot will slide inside it all day.

Frequently asked questions
Should I wear thick socks in ski boots?
No. A single thin, seamless ski sock is best. Thick or doubled socks restrict circulation and actually make your feet colder.
Can I swap boots if they hurt?
Yes, at no charge. We ask you to try the boots on and walk in them for a few minutes at handover, and swap the size on the spot if anything feels wrong.
